Elaina's Dedication

What a joy-filled day Sunday was for us! We dedicated Elaina Joy to the Lord - which, as my husband says, is really more for the parents than for the baby. It's a promise and committment to raise our daughter up to know and love the Lord Jesus Christ. We were so blessed to have 10 of our friends join us for the occassion! (And none of them attend our new church!) They truly are our family here in NC. It meant so much to have them each there. Elaina was hamming it up; clapping after Pastor Don read her scripture verse, and then again at the end when the congregation all clapped for us. (I'm hoping to post the video soon b/c it's so cute!) We used Psalm 22:9-10, David's prayer, as our prayer for Elaina. I discovered it during my pregnancy. Such a beautiful piece of scripture:
"Yet You brought me out of the womb; You made me trust in You even at my mother's breast. From birth I was cast upon You; from my mother's womb you have been my God."

Presenting Elaina to the Lord. Pastor Don did such a great job.
Praying that Elaina come to Christ at a young age and live as a woman of God.
Outside Westover afterward.
